BASIC and programmers
There are two variations of BASIC used in Crocodile Technology. These are BASIC (Stamp1) and BASIC (Revolution).
- BASIC (Stamp1), previously BASIC C1, is essentially identical to the official, DOS-based PBASIC programming language developed by Parallax
Inc. for use with the 8-pin STAMP 1. See their web-site, www.parallaxinc.com (correct at time of publication), for more information
about the language and relevant downloads and hardware.
- BASIC (Revolution), previously BASIC C2, is an extended version of BASIC (Stamp1). It incorporates additional commands that are particularly
designed for use in schools. This is compatible with WSE_32, the 32 bit Windows Stamp Editor, designed by Revolution Education
Ltd.
